Frequently Asked Questions

How Can I Find Information About Upcoming Events?

Please refer to the School Calendar for information on events happening at ISA.

What Are the Curriculum and Diploma Offerings at ISA?

ISA offers an American High School Diploma, as well as Advanced Placement certificates. The ISA diploma is at HAVO level, unless the student takes four Advanced Placement courses successfully, which makes the diploma equivalent to a VWO certificate. The Dutch program offers the landsexamen in MAVO, HAVO, VWO and four levels of the CNavt. The highest level CNaVT meets Dutch university entrance criteria.

For more information on the curriculum, see our Curriculum Standards.

Who Goes to ISA and Why?

Students ages 3-21 come to ISA from 35 different countries. The majority of students are Dutch passport holders, followed by Americans. ISA offers programs that develop the whole child, and provides the academic rigor and support to give students access to top universities around the world.
