ISA offers Visual, Performing and Musical Arts programs. ISA believes in the power of the Arts to enable full development of a person through the creative, spatial, inspiring and physical expression opportunities offered by the Arts.
Completed in October, 2013, ISA has two purpose-built Visual Arts rooms for all students in PreKindergarten through grade 12. Students receive instruction in drawing, painting, collage, ceramics, digital photography and design. In addition to arts classes integrated into the school day, ISA offers after-school opportunities for students.
The ISA Performing Arts room hosts a spring beech wood floor for dance and exercise classes. The floor to ceiling windows overlooking the soccer field in the Performing and Visual Arts rooms provide bright Aruban sunshine and inspiration throughout each class.
The ISA Drama department provides three different foci of classes - major course of HS study, exploratory course for grades 6-12, and an after-school activity. The students perform in multiple one-act plays at the end of each semester on a theater stage connected to the gymnasium.
The ISA Music Program hosts two concerts each year, as well as a Musical Theater production. The students performed in the show Wicked last year, and will create The Sound of Music this year. The instrumental program offers lessons in woodwinds, percussion and strings both during and after the school day.
