Learning at ISA
Learning at ISA means being part of a community of learners where everyone - students, teachers, administrators, parents and the board - are striving for higher heights each day and learning in the process. No one person has the complete answer, but collectively we strive to create high quality opportunties to motivate students to achieve their academic and personal best.
Where does planning for learning occur? Teachers meet in teams every Monday, as well as one other time during the week, to discuss student learning and to develop plans for the school. The leadership team and admin team meet weekly, and as needed. The Parent-Teacher Association meets monthly to plan events and provide insight for school imrovement plans. The NOB Advisory Board meets quarterly to ensure the quality and on-going growth of the Dutch program. The Board of Trustees reviews monthly dashboard metrics inorder to guide and support the school. Student Councils at each division, and the National Honor Society and Junior Honor Society all meet weekly. Student contributions in the creation of events, and ideas for improving ISA are integral to what makes ISA a great learning environment. Truly, all stakeholders are looking at ISA from different angles and working together collaboratively to make it the best possible learning environment for all.
