Dutch Program

The Dutch program at the International School of Aruba is an integrated part of the ISA curriculum. We offer Dutch Language and Culture (Nederlandse Taal en Cultuur, NTC) education for native speakers

(first language), near-native (second language), and foreign language learners. Since 1996, ISA has been affiliated with the Foundation for Dutch Education Abroad (Stichting Nederlands Onderwijs Buitenland, NOB),

and our Dutch classes are embedded within the daily schedule.

Dutch Staff

The Dutch department consists of two teachers:

  • Miss Myrthe de Haan, who teaches at the preschool

       and primary levels

  • Miss Suze Binken, who coordinates the department and teaches secondary-level students across proficiency levels A1 to C1.

Dutch Board

The Dutch department is supported by the Dutch Board, which consists of parents of Dutch-speaking students at ISA.

The board plays a supportive and advisory role and is responsible for administrative matters related to the Dutch program. This includes oversight of financial processes tied to Dutch government subsidies facilitated through Stichting NOB.

The current board members are:

  • Chair: Irene van Rij

  • Secretary: Marieke Hoogendijk

  • Treasurer: Patrick de Lobel
