International Day Itinerary
Posted 24/03/2017 08:10

On March 24, 2017, ISA will be hosting its annual International Day where the school's community celebrates and embraces diversity. The celebration will be held at the gym and begin 10:15 a.m with the parade of nations. In the parade of nations, students will represent their nation by wearing their country's flag colors, traditional clothing, or national team jersey while they carry their flag. The celebration will continue by singing Aruba's national anthem. At 11:05, guest speakers will give speeches for all to enjoy. The following act will be Marina Mendoza, accompanied by Ms. Sergia, who will be singing "Catire y el Negro" and "Alma Llanera".

Next, the AP Spanish Literature and Culture class will perform a dance that consists of different styles of dance, which are the following: merengue, salsa, and joropo. The last performance of the afternoon will be a fashion show where several primary school students will display their costumes while they dance to music. Montessori students and toddlers will be able to gather their food once the talent proportion of the celebration ends. Once they finish, primary and secondary students will then be able to eat their lunch. At 1:00 p.m, students will participate in the activities they signed up for, whether it was to play soccer, to play board games, or to watch movies. We hope everyone who attends International Day enjoys the festivities!
