School Uniform Information
ISA School Uniform Code
Students must wear clothing appropriate for a school setting. ISA has adopted a school-uniform policy and all students are required to wear these uniforms. Body piercing is only permitted on the ears and no other body part, i.e. (tongue, eyebrows, lips, chin etc.). Additionally, students are not permitted to come to school with streaked or colored hair, i.e. blue, green, or any unnatural hair color. No “extreme” hairdo fashion of cut, style, or shape is allowed. All students are required to maintain a neat and clean appearance throughout the school day.
Approved School Uniform attire includes the following:
- white or royal blue, polo or t-shirt with ISA insignia
- solid navy or black color for pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, and must be without stripes.
- slacks or capri pants are allowed. No denim, jeans or khaki are allowed.
- skirts, skorts or shorts are allowed. The length can not be shorter than 6.5 cm (2 ½ inches) above the knee.
- closed shoes, such as tennis shoes of white, navy or black with socks.
- navy or black solid sweatshirts may be worn over the polo shirt or tied around shoulders or waist.
- caps, hats, and sunglasses should be removed before entering the building or could be confiscated.
- logos, other than the ISA insignia, are only allowed on shoes and shorts or sweatshirts (no larger than 3.8 cm squared/1.5 inches).
- student clothing must not bear any inappropriate language or symbols.
Uniform for School Sponsored Field Trips
Students will be required to wear white polo logo shirts with navy blue shorts, pants, skirts or skorts for official school functions and field trips. If there is a free dress day and a student is attending a field trip, they must still be in the official school uniform; otherwise the student may be required to stay at school.
Free Dress Days
Students must wear clothing appropriate for a school setting. Beachwear-type of clothing is not permitted and this includes:
- rubber sandals or slippers (flip flops)
- short shorts
- clothes that are too tight
- halter-type tops, tops with bare shoulders, low cut blouses, bare midriffs
- exposed underwear
- clothing with provocative or inappropriate language/symbols on them
For Physical Education classes, the PE uniform is:
- official school logo t-shirts
- foot wear worn must be sneakers/tennis shoes and white socks
- athletic shorts of acceptable length
