Message from the Montessori Directress

Emma BardiI am pleased to welcome you and your child to I.S.A.’s Montessori Program. 

Our Montessori Program is unique in that it is individualized and designed to help the children develop and explore each subject area at their own pace, gain self-confidence, independence, develop physically and socially as well as promote academic achievement. Our environment is a “prepared environment,” in which materials and lessons are well organized and follow a sequence guided by the child’s natural development. The areas for learning are well defined, yet the room is opened for all of the children to observe each other at work. Our Montessori environment teaches the child to respect oneself, others, and the world around them. The students in this program will also benefit from special classes taught throughout the week such as Computer (5 year olds only), Art, Physical Education, Music, Spanish, and Dutch. These classes will be taught by a specialist.
